Endermologie - Knossos CitySpa® Hotel

The distribution of subcutaneous fat is genetically determined and differs depending on the sex. The local deposition of excessive fat in certain points of the body are pathological situations, also genetic determined. These cases are indicating the need for liposuction. There are situations of deportioned fat that creates cellulite. Cellulite occurs when fat cells protrude from around the connective tissue that attaches skin to muscle and the skin looks uneven, known as the cottage cheese effect, orange skin etc. Usually cellulite is accompanied by loose skin and subcutaneous tissue. In these cases Endermologie is the right treatment.

WHAT IS ENDERMOLOGIE?

It is a non-surgical and non-invasive method that is supported by mechanical equipment. It involves the use of a motorized device with two adjustable rollers and controlled pressure, which creates a symmetrical skin-fold. The skin gently folds and unfolds under the continuous action of the rollers allowing for smooth and regulated deep tissue mobilization. As the viscosity of the subcutaneous fat layer decreases, blood flow and lymphatic drainage increase, facilitating the elimination of excess fluid and metabolites, while improving overall cellular function.

Endermologie was developed at the end of the 1900’s in France by Louis Paul Guitay. Since then until today this technique has been updated and the results acheived using this method can be summarized as follows:

  • Effective fat movement and reshaping of the body perimeter.
  • All the patients who used that method had cellulite and local fat decreased by 90%
  • In all the patients was an obvious decreasing of the perimeter at the points where the method was applied, even to those who didn’t loose weight or instead put weight.
  • As a specialized diet is not necessary, it is notable that there are more effective results when the method is combined with a low fat diet and exercise.
  • The most interesting confirmation up today is the great increase of the estrogen levels in the blood that appears one hour after the end of each endermologie treatment.

This has the following results:

  • Appearance of the menstruation of some patients that didn’t have before.
  • Normal menstruation circle of some women that had an abnormal cycle.
  • Reconstructive effect from the estrogens on the skin and subcutaneous tissue, with increase of the elastic collagen bodies, which is similar to the one which appears on menopause women after taking hormonal substitutes. That was proven with experiments and tissue tests and to that is owed the skin firming.
  • Increased ability to overweight patients to control or minimize their weight.

Conclusion:

We can tell that Endermologie is non-surgical and non-invasive method that is supported by mechanical equipment, against cellulite and loosening of the skin and the subcutaneous tissue. At the same time this method has positive affect on the other organs in a woman’s body, as it causes an increase of the estrogen levels in the blood. In cases where excessive fat tissue and diffused cellulite exist, and loosened skin in other body parts, such as abdomen, thighs, buttocks, back, arms). Combining Liposuction with Endermologie can have effective results on the whole body's appearance and perimeter.
